It's best if you write something personal from the heart.  Simply ask them to adopt a non-discrimination ordinance, and say why it's important to you.

Suggested Talking Points:
  • Mention which District you live in / name of your business.
  • Let them know you support this ordinance and ask them to pass it.
  • Ask when this ordinance will be on an agenda, and if not, why not?
  • Ask if they support it, and if not, what are their issues against it?
  • We would join our neighbor cities, Atlanta, Brookhaven, Chamblee, Clarkston, Doraville, Dunwoody, and Decatur in leading the state in non-discrimination.
  • It provides protection otherwise not afforded by Georgia or Federal law.
  • Non-discrimination is a cause we can all be for.  This non-discrimination ordinance will provide an important protection for all of us living our daily lives in Tucker.
  • It is a proactive measure that will set a tone of inclusivity for our city, and it will help Tucker lead the way into the 21st century.
  • It's time now for the city to take a stand against discrimination.
  • It is important to you because...

Not sure which district you live in?  Check your voter registration card, or check the city map:
